AWARDED A "BEST NEW PRODUCT"

Utopia Golf Products AWARDED 'BEST NEW PRODUCT'

The TXR I and TXR II were introduced at the PGA Fall Expo in Las Vegas, Nevada. Our putters received a "Best New Product" award at the show.
Here's some of the buzz about the TXR I & TXR II.

Adam Barr of Adam Barr Golf Gear Guide says:

A putt that doesn't hop, skip, jump and otherwise annoy on the way to the hole? That would be utopian.

John Renslow The Union.com says:

TXR Putter — You may know there are many good players who use a wedge as a putter to improve their putting stroke. The idea is to use the leading edge of the wedge to strike the equator of the ball. When done correctly, it puts a really good roll on the ball and provides the feeling of acceleration toward the hole.

If not done correctly, you will know it instantly. The mishit ball will wobble off the club and finish well short of your target. It's a great addition to your practice and could come in handy if your ball happens to rest against a fringe during a round of golf.

Enter the TXR Putter manufactured by Utopia Golf. The "face" of the putter is not a flat surface. A thin leading line has been molded into the front of the face which will give the ball a very similar roll to the leading edge of a golf club, without the likelihood of a mis-hit.

You see, with a flat-faced putter, the ball will skid before it starts rolling. This skid can inhibit the ball's ability to stay on the intended line. Virtually every top manufacturer is trying different materials or putter designs to get the ball rolling faster.

PutterZone.com says:

Can the next big thing in putters come from a little town in Texas populated by a grand total of 250 people? The guys behind Utopia Golf Products are certainly betting on it, and they are off to a great start, having earned the "Best New Product" award at the recent PGA Fall Expo in Las Vegas.

Utopia putters are distinguished by a horizontal face ridge that the company calls "The Edge."

The ridge is designed to strike the ball just above its equator to produce immediate forward roll. The Utopia TXR 1 blade ($169) and TXR II mallet ($179) are now available for sale via the company's web site.

Utopia Golf Products was started by three residents of Utopia, Texas: Bill Deichler, Mike Hillis and Scott Saunders.
